Designed for the dedicated 4x4 tourer, the Panorama 1600 is the ultimate Darche tent for your rig. Its compact design and super-low pack-down profile (11.5 inches including the ladder) reduce wind drag and overall vehicle height, perfect for lifted vehicles navigating the urban jungle between off-road adventures.

This unrivaled RTT gives you the same simple set up and pack-down design that all Darche RTTs offer, but its high-spec build gives you quality that will survive the harshest elements.

Designed for maximum ventilation, extra-large zippered mesh windows on both sides provide exceptional airflow in warm weather, without compromising on storm and sun protection. The removable fly and built-in air vents reduce condensation and provide airflow through rainy weather, while the gusseted window awnings offer you extra protection in all weather conditions. Stay cool and comfortable in the heat while drifting off under the starry night views from the zippered sky window.

The Panorama series is made from premium 320gsm ripstop polycotton canvas. This tent has an impressive PU 1500mm water rating, seam sealing, and a removable polyester fly that will keep you dry in extended rainy conditions, giving you great protection from the elements all year round. The tent includes a premium quality, high-density 50mm (2.0") mattress with a removable cover and water-resistant base. This high-spec RTT is made with an insulated baseboard, constructed from heavy-duty compressed checker-plate aluminum. The tent also includes a fully removable, durable PVC cover for protection when you're in transit. The included high-quality mounting brackets suit most commercially available flat roof rack or roof rail systems.

Make sure to check the weight rating and suitability of your roof rack and vehicle prior to purchase - most important is the static load capacity (this includes all occupants and gear on the rack when parked). We recommend professional installation, available from one of the dealers listed here.

**WHERE IT ALL BEGAN**

In 1991, Darche revolutionized the traditional swag market with the introduction of the Dome style swag. DARREN O’DWYER, the founder of Darche with his wife CHERYL (DAR-CHE), embarked on an eastern Australia journey. Wanting a shelter arrangement that was quick, practical, and easy to stow, Darren used his imagination and created a canvas shell with fiberglass poles, and the dome-style swag was born. Darren realized he required a suitable and purpose-built factory arrangement to suffice demand. Using Australian supply chain partners, Darche became the leading swag and canvas converter in Australia.

Today Darche is proudly owned by the Charles Parsons Group, who have been actively involved for over 20 years in supplying textile and trim componentry to Darche. Charles Parsons is the largest textile wholesaler in the Southern Hemisphere with offices in every capital city of Australia, including offices in Fiji, Auckland, and Shanghai. The day-to-day running of Darche occurs in a warehouse facility based in Thomastown, Victoria, with a site area of more than 40,000m². Darche is overseen by experienced textile product developers, business strategists, and passionate staff who are keen outdoor enthusiasts with sound knowledge and experience to match.

**OUR PROMISE**

We are passionate, dynamic, and keen. We enjoy the same lifestyle choices as our consumers. We strive to provide our consumers the very best value, reliability, and service and most importantly, we recognize the trust they place on us. We welcome our consumer’s feedback both positive and negative and promise to keep delivering whilst listening. We are mindful of our vulnerable environment and build our products to last the journey. We encourage lifetime use and if over the years it requires attention, even if it is a discontinued product, we endeavor to find a solution, on a best effort basis, to have it back and performing for you.

**WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?**

Darche’s growth and shortage of experienced canvas converters and local machinists have seen Darche establish reputable offshore assembly and supply chain partners. Operating from four major plants purposely selected and audited by Darche. Machinists, assemblers, finishers, toolmakers, and QA/QC supervisors are included in our required workforce of over 180 people over our four plants. It is vitally important to note Darche do not use Trading Houses or vertical arrangements offshore to source product. We at Darche develop all product prototypes in Australia and are involved from concept through to market release. Utilizing Charles Parsons accredited laboratories and leading processes, all developments are then vigorously tested at the Thomastown facility and again in real-life situations by developers.
