Ideal for pickup truck bed racks or other vehicles where footprint is a concern, Double Dee is a compact hard shell that unfolds into spacious living quarters. Thanks to its small packed size and fold-out design, it provides interior space rivalling soft shell tents when fully set up, and retains the durability and ease of use of a hard shell when packed. The innovative X-hinges also raise the back of the tent to aid airflow, increase headroom, and let in more light.

This includes an incredibly supportive composite MDI memory-foam mattress, an integrated LED strip that can be mounted at different points in the tent (as well as externally using the built-in sailtracks), moveable storage pockets, and much more.
The versatility of the Double Dee doesnât stop when itâs packed up. With approximately 100L of usable storage space when closed, you can store all of your bedding and little knick-knacks in the tent and reduce clutter inside your vehicle.
The tent body is made from premium 280gsm ripstop polycotton canvas and features an impressive 3000mm waterhead rating (similar to a soft-shell rain fly), high profile automotive rubber weather seals, internal seam sealing, and a removable fly that will keep you dry in extended rainy conditions.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
In 1991, Darche revolutionised the traditional swag market with the introduction of the Dome style swag. Darren OâDwyer, the founder of Darche with his wife Cheryl (DAR-CHE), embarked on an eastern Australia journey. Wanting a shelter arrangement that was quick, practical and easy to stow, Darren used his imagination and created a canvas shell with fibreglass poles and the dome style swag was born. Darren realised he required a suitable and purpose-built factory arrangement in order to suffice demand. Using Australian supply chain partners, Darche became the leading swag and canvas converter in Australia.
Today Darche is proudly owned by the Charles Parsons Group who have been actively involved for over 20 years in supplying textile and trim componentry to Darche. Charles Parsons are the largest textile wholesaler in the Southern Hemisphere with offices in every capital city of Australia, including offices in Fiji, Auckland and Shanghai. The day-to-day running of Darche occurs in a warehouse facility based in Thomastown, Victoria with a site area of more than 40,000m2. Darche is overseen by experienced textile product developers, business strategists and passionate staff who are keen outdoor enthusiasts with sound knowledge and experience to match.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
Darcheâs growth and shortage of experienced canvas converters and local machinists has seen Darche establish reputable offshore assembly and supply chain partners. Operating from four major plants purposely selected and audited by Darche. Machinists, assemblers, finishers, tool makers, and QA/QC supervisors are included in our required workforce of over 180 people over our four plants. It is vitally important to note Darche does not use Trading Houses or vertical arrangements offshore to source products. We at Darche develop all product prototypes in Australia and are involved from concept through to market release. Utilising Charles Parsons accredited laboratories and leading processes, all developments are then vigorously tested at the Thomastown facility and again in real life situations by developers.
